This research gave deeper insights into a mature product to facilitate conversations for new inventions. This particular test was done with the Ergonomics lab of the Technical University of Budapest with heart variability measurement method, which is a great way to see the smallest detail. On the right picture, we went a bit too wild. In the case of product usability, I simply observe what users do with the product. I do the same with my progress, others, and the product as well. We can talk through those regular assessment sessions, but as much as possible it is important to measure progress and success. They can be shared in a daily standup with a team or Wiki/Confluence/Intranet page. They can be tracked with Jira tickets for development or Asana or anything relevant. You just can’t leave the path and open doors that lead to nowhere.I set up the KPIs at the beginning of projects. It’s also worth noting that you can pause the movie path and look around at any point. Or combined them all together (but then I’d have to reveal that I didn’t model any of the stairs in this project. I could have saved a separate video for the basement and the second floor. Now I only did a quick walk-through of part of the first floor (and two still images). Needless to say, it’d be VERY distracting for the client. If I let you see the front of the house, it’d look like it was bombed out: no windows, no walls, no floors, no roofs. The project was an addition and much of the house was left unmodeled. It’s the perfect example of a project that needs a restricted path. See for yourself by downloading a quick BIMx file I created this morning from a project I did a few years ago while at SALA Architects with ArchiCAD 11. I’ve done a quick test of this feature and it is great. (also check out this thread on the Forum for more details on setting up a Camera Path to create limited navigation in a BIMx file). You can read more on the ArchiCADwiki here. We now have the ability to “Limit navigation to gallery views” on both the desktop and mobile applications. Did you update ArchiCAD 16 to Hotfix #2 (build 3270)? Because a little addition was added that is quite awesome.
